• Make sure that there is some kind of noise in your house – a working TV or music. The dog will get used to it, and the appearance of other noises will no longer cause stress.

• Close the curtains so that flashes of light in the sky don’t startle your pet.

• Keep all outside noise to a minimum by closing all windows and doors in the house.

• If possible, you should not take your dog with you to admire the fireworks – it is better for her to stay at home.

• It is best to have someone in the house who can calm and cheer your pet.

• If your pet has had similar problems in past holidays, please consult your veterinarian regarding the use of medications.
