Animals constantly expend a certain amount of energy: for movement, breathing, reproduction, and even sleep. The more active the lifestyle is, the more energy is expended. Instead of the expended energy, a new one must necessarily enter the animal’s body, and its amount must correspond to the costs. If a lot of energy is spent, and little is received, then the animal will begin to lose weight, if the income exceeds the costs, the excess is deposited by the body “for a rainy day”, which leads to obesity.
