Luckily, you can make a simple homemade stain remover to help keep your home clean and fresh. Homemade stain removers are safe to use in the house where our little brothers live, and are usually cheaper than store-bought ones. Home remedies effectively remove stubborn stains and odors, from urine to hairballs and vomit.

Vomiting and hairballs

Materials: baking soda, vinegar, water, household spray bottle, three old rags.

Urine stain remover

Materials: table vinegar, baking soda, dilute hydrogen peroxide, dishwashing detergent, enzymatic cleaner, old rags, old towel

Pour the mixture over the stain (pre-test the mixture on an area of ​​the carpet that is not visible from under the furniture to make sure it does not discolour the carpet).
5. Rub a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and dishwashing detergent into the carpet and rub the fibers with a stiff brush, then rinse quickly to prevent the carpet from fading. If it is a hard floor, it is best to spray the mixture with a spray bottle onto the area of ​​the stain and wipe thoroughly.
6. Use a hair dryer to dry the wet area faster. The spot area may appear fresh and clean, but the uric acid found in cat urine is re-crystallizing, so the next step is VERY IMPORTANT!
7. After about 24 hours, blot the area with an enzymatic cleaner and leave to dry. To prevent family members from stepping on the stain, cover it with a bowl or aluminum foil. Complete drying may take a day or two.
8. Once the area is completely dry, mop or vacuum as usual and repeat once a week with an enzymatic cleaner if necessary.
